 Mrs Odia Dorothy Osaro Exit Active Service

March 23, 2026, marked the last day of Mrs Odia Dorothy Osaro, Deputy Director and Head of Social Welfare Unit in active service as she retires following over three decades of meritorious service.

Mrs Odia, who joined the hospital in April 10994 rose through the ranks with distinction demonstrating unwavering commitment, professionalism, and compassion in discharge of her duties. Over the years, she became a cornerstone of the Social Welfare Unit playing a pivotal role in advancing patients centred care and strengthening  psychosocial support services with the institution.

Renowned among colleagues for her diligence, empathy, and strong work ethics, Mrs Odia leadership significantly enhanced the quality of service delivery in the unit. Her tenure was marked by a deep dedication to the welfare of patients and staff alike, earning widespread respect, and admiration across the hospital community.

At a brief but heartfelt send-off, members of staff gathered to celebrate her impactful career describing her as a mentor, a team player, and a consummate professional whose legacy will endure in the systems she helped but build and the lives she touched.

In her remarks, Mrs Odia expressed gratitude to the management and staff of the hospital for the opportunity to serve, noting that her years at the institution were both fulfilling and enriching. She encouraged staff to remain committed to excellence and to uphold the values of compassion and integrity in service delivery. Colleagues and well-wishers wished her good health, fulfillment and success in the next chapter of her life, acknowledging that her contributions to the hospital will not be forgotten.
