The student week of the College of Nursing Sciences, Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital Benin, kicked off on Monday, 15th September, 2025, with the theme COMPASSION IN ACTION: COLLABORATIVE CARE FOR THE MENTALLY ILL.

The event started with a rally to Uselu market for awareness and sensitization of the public on the increased use of psychoactive substances, early symptoms of substance use disorder, and other mental health challenges.

On day 2 there was a symposium/seminar on MIND MATTERS and BASIC LIFE SUPPORT, which was facilitated by Prof. Eddy Ehikhamenor and Mr. C. E. Odaro.

Other activities lined up for the week are a football match, cultural day, talk show, picnic, movie night, dinner night, and many more.

The event will be concluded on Sunday, 21st September, 2025, with a special thanksgiving to God for the success of the student week and prayers for students and the management of the school.
