Ward Managers in the Nursing Services Department of the Hospital has organised a get-together/sent forth party in honour of the outgoing Acting Head of its department Mrs. Omodamwen Nsonwu.

Mrs. Nsonwu joined the service of Federal Neuro Psychiatric Hospital in June, 1994. She is an astute Nurse who was dedicated to her Nursing profession; she rose through the ranks to the position of an Assistant Director until her retirement.

while eulogizing the out- going Head of Department, Mrs. B.O Osamuyimwen said Mrs. Nsonwu is a pro active team leader that caries everyone along and thanked her for the motherly role mented at them when carrying out their lawful duties, adding that they have gained a lot of experience from her.

Mrs. Nsonwu who was very elated over the surprised gesture, thanked the organizers of the party and enjoined everyone present at the occasion to be selfless while carrying out their duties.

The occasion featured melodious songs, goodwill messages, presentation of gifts, a toast and cutting of cake. The event later shifted to a dance around the hospital including a visit to the office of Medical Director Dr. Imafidon O. Agbonile who congratulated her for retiring well in the Nursing profession and wished her greater opportunities in all her future endeavors.
