The leadership of the Federated Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council which comprises of journalists from different media houses has on 18th October, 2022 paid a courtesy visit to the Management of Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Benin City.
In her address, Comrade Mercy Onyenweli, the newly elected chairman of the chapel who led the delegates informed the Medical Director that they were in the hospital to formally introduce the new executive of the union to the hospital Management. She also used the medium to seek management’s support for some needs in their chapel that would enable them function effectively.
While welcoming them, the Medical Director, Dr. I.O. Agbonile commended the journalists for the good work of information dissemination, adding that they should assist the hospital in the advocacy for the mentally ill in the society. In a vote of thanks, the hospital’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Stewart Efe appreciated the journalists for their visit and requested them to help spread the developmental strides of the Dr. Agbonile-led administration. He thereafter wished the executive well in their new portfolio.
