World Patient Safety Day is celebrated annually on September 17 to raise awareness and drive intervention globally to promote the safety of patients.
This campaign is to encourage countries worldwide to make patient safety a priority and also to promote the prevention of avoidable errors in their health care systems.
The theme for this year is “Medication Safety.”
The Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital Benin commemorated World Patient Safety Day yesterday, September 14th, with a presentation from the Doctor’s unit, Pharmacy Department, and Nursing Services Department, thereby participating in the global discussion of the slogan “Medication Without Harm.”
