
Edo State Government Honours Healthcare Professionals from Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Benin City

The health-care professionals – Dr. (Mrs.) B.E.A Uteh and Pharm. A.P. Egbe-Igbinigie – of Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Benin City who participated in the recently concluded free medical outreach organized by Edo State Government (EDSG), in collaboration with the Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas (ANPA) have received commendation from the State Government.
The five-day free medical mission for over 4,000 residents of Edo State held in Benin City between Monday April 26th – Saturday April 30th, 2022. The outreach programme included surgical intervention (fibroid, prostate, breast lump, hernia, neck swelling, etc.) and treatments for diabetes, hypertension, mental health and drug addiction issues, and other ailments. It is worthy of note that the commendation was predicated on their selfless volunteerism, active participation, utmost commitment and professionalism displayed during the free medical mission week which contributed immensely to the phenomenal success of the programme.
