The Nursing Services Department has sent forth their Head of Department, Mrs G.E. Obaseki (A.K.A., Iyenogie), in a grand style. Mrs Obaseki joined the services of the hospital in 1994; she rose through the ranks to the position of a deputy director in the department. The occasion was a double celebration of her birthday and retirement. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and jubilation as the Benin cultural troop thrilled the guests with melodious songs.

In an opening speech, the Director of Administration, Mrs Clara Isede, said the celebrant is a dedicated and hardworking nurse and urged her professional colleagues to uphold the good legacies she has laid in the department.

Mrs Osamuyimen Beauty representing the Nursing Services presented a retirement gift on behalf of the Nursing Services Department of the hospital.
