The Administration Department of the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital (FNPH), Benin City, hosted a memorable end-of-year and retirement party on Friday, January 24, 2025. The event which held at the hospital’s conference hall in Uselu, brought together staff, retirees and their loved ones in a joyous celebration of the department’s achievements and to honour its retirees.

The occasion provided an opportunity for attendees to unwind, reflect on the department’s accomplishments in 2024, and celebrate the contributions of retiring staff. The event featured an array of activities, including games, dance and the presentation of gifts to retirees.

In her welcome address, the Head of Human Resources, Mrs Clara Celimat Isede, expressed her gratitude to the hospital’s management for approving the event and commended attendees for their presence. She highlighted the importance of the celebration, noting that it served as a platform for fostering unity among staff, celebrating the department’s milestones, and appreciating retirees for their years of dedicated service.

The retirees were visibly moved by the recognition. Speaking on behalf of her colleagues, Mrs Perdita O. Efe who retired as a Chief Administrative Officer delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, appreciating the Head of Human Resources, staff of the department and the organizing committee for honouring their contributions even after their active service in the hospital. The event was characterized by a lively atmosphere with plenty of food and drinks. Staff members expressed their appreciation to Mrs Isede for the initiative, describing it as a relaxing and morale-boosting experience.
