In a colorful and spirited event, the Management of Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, (FNPH) Benin City, celebrated its workforce by recognizing exceptional members of staff for their hard work, unrelenting dedication, and commitment throughout the year 2024. The awards, which included cash prizes, and plaques, were presented to outstanding staff drawn from various departments and units including Nursing Services, Clinical Services, Pharmaceutical Services, Administration, Emergency and Assessment Unit, among others.

The Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Imafidon Osama Agbonile was not left out as staff teamed up to honour him with a special award, for his steering and exemplary leadership quality in the hospital.

In his remarks, Dr Agbonile congratulated the awardees and emphasized the thoroughness of the nomination process, which ensured that only the most deserving individuals were selected. He announced plans to upgrade the initiative to a monthly and quarterly affair to further motivate and recognize staff contributions. Some of the award recipients thanked the hospital’s management for the recognition and pledged to continue delivering outstanding service. The event also afforded members of staff an opportunity to relax and unwind, fostering camaraderie and boosting morale as the hospital looks forward to another year of excellence. Seventeen (17) persons got the general awards, while five (5) others got the Medical Director’s special award.
