The Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital (FNPH) Benin in collaboration with the Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN) Edo State organised a free medical outreach for patients and the general public. The outreach was held on Wednesday 10th January 2024 at the hospital’s site in Idunmwowina Community, where over two hundred patients were attended to. The free medical services included: blood sugar check, blood pressure screening, eye check, Pap smear screening, dental care (scaling & polishing), cervical screening and counseling services among others.
Dr. Ehi Winifred Isa, the President of MWAN Edo State and Chief Consultant Psychiatrist in the hospital remarked that the essence of the free medical outreach was to ensure regular medical check-up and free screenings to enable the patients know their health status. The event was a huge success, and the patients were grateful for the opportunity to receive the free medical care.
It is worthy of note that the free medical outreach is part of the hospital’s commitment in providing quality healthcare to the people of Edo State and country in general. The hospital has a long-standing reputation for excellence in healthcare delivery, and this event is a testament to its dedication to the well-being of the community.
