In a bid to enhance productivity in the service, the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Uselu, Benin City has recently organised a training on capacity building for staff in the directorate cadre. The training held on Wednesday 10th January, 2024 in the hospital conference hall at Uselu, Benin City.

In his opening remarks, the Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. I. O. Agbonile said the essence of the training was to ensure that the aforementioned category of staff were on the same page and in tune with the advancement and destination that the hospital was currently aiming at. “The technological speed that the hospital will find itself soon would not be adequately sustained if the staff were not on the same pedestal, hence the need for the training,” he stated.

The facilitators which include Mrs. C.C.O Isede, Mr. P.O. Ihenyen, Mrs. G.O. Daudu, and Mrs. P. Alasa exhaustively dealt on different topical issues in the Civil Service such as: Code of Conduct in Government Business, Disciplinary Measures, Minutes Writing and Changes in the Public Service Rules, Performance Management System, Leave Matters and Modes of Exit in the Civil Service.  Some of the participants who spoke during an interview expressed satisfaction with the lectures and thanked Management and the Administration Department for organizing such training programme. Certificate of participation were also presented by Management to all the participants.
