The executive members of National Association of Student Nurses and Midwives School of Psychiatric Nursing chapter has paid a courtesy visit to the Medical Director Dr Imafidon Osama Agbonile on the 25th of August, 2022 ahead of their student Nurses week which is scheduled for 4th -11th of September, 2022.

The President of the Student Union Government (SUG), Mrs. Martins Hope Olohirere in her opening remarks thanked the Medical Director and his management team for his concern towards the student’s welfare and making the environment conducive for learning for them. While pledging their allegiance to maintain and promote the standard and culture of the school and hospital, the president also used the visit to highlight the few pressing needs of the students and seek for financial assistance for the forthcoming Nurses week in September.

The Medical Director, Dr. Imafidon O. Agbonile while welcoming the students, enjoined them to be good ambassadors of the school everywhere they go, stating that graduates from the hospital School of Post Basic Nursing are always a prime targets for recruitment in the western world, and that the hospital also prefers to employ graduates from their school into the system when there is an opening for employment. He added that the school has maintained its standard over the years in the quality of graduates it produces as exemplified last year when Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital Benin City produced best overall student in psychiatry in the National Council Examinations. This has made several institutions to send their Medical and Nursing students for affiliation programs in the hospital. He also commended their brilliant performances during their last examination.
