What is Fire?

Fire is a chemical reaction that occurs when three elements combine: fuel, oxygen, and heat. This reaction releases light, heat, and smoke.

Classes of Fire

Class A: Combustibles like wood, paper, cloth, plastic etc.
Class B: Flammable liquids such as petrol, gasoline, oil, paint.
Class C: Electrical failure from appliances, electronic equipment and wiring.
Class D: Burning metals such as aluminum or magnesium.
Class F: cooking oils and fats, such as those used in deep fryers.
