The Executive Members of the Students Union Government (SUG) Set 39, of the School of Psychiatric Nursing (SOPN), paid a courtesy visit to Dr Imafidon O. Agbonile, Medical Director of Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Benin City, on Thursday, November 21, 2024.

The delegation which was led Mr Nkama S. Chima, President of the student body was aimed to formally introduce the newly elected SUG executives to the Medical Director. The visit also served as an opportunity to congratulate Dr Agbonile on his recent reappointment by the Presidency for a second term as the Medical Director of the hospital.

During the visit, Dr Agbonile expressed his gratitude to the students for their thoughtful gesture. He encouraged them to prioritize their academic pursuits, remain diligent, and distinguish themselves as outstanding professionals in mental health nursing during their post-basic training at SOPN.

The Principal, School of Psychiatric Nursing, Mr Saturday O. Okolo, was also in attendance, underscoring the importance of collaboration between the school’s leadership and its student body.
