The Management of Federal Neuro Psychiatric Hospital, Benin City on 10th October 2025 organized a retirement party in honour of Mrs G.E Obaseki, the immediate past Head of Nursing Services of the hospital. Mrs Obaseki, who served meritoriously in the hospital, joined its services on 16th June, 1994 as a Nursing Officer II and rose through the ranks to the position of Deputy Director before her retirement from active service.
Speaking at the occasion, the Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Imafidon O. Agbonile described Mrs Obaseki as a dependable ally, proactive and diligent in her duties noting that it was a pleasure and honour working with her during his early days as a younger doctor in the hospital and working with her in his management team. He wished her well in all her future endeavors.
The celebrant who was elated expressed her gratitude to the Management of the hospital for honoring her and thanked her professional colleagues for their cooperation and support especially during her tenure as the head of the nursing department. She enjoined her colleagues to work in unity to move the department to an enviable height. The occasion featured goodwill messages, refreshment, dance and presentation of gift to the retiree by the hospital management and some members of staff of the hospital.
