The management of Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital (FNPH), Benin City, has once again demonstrated its commitment to staff development by granting permission and sponsoring some members of staff to participate in the prestigious Annual National Management Conference of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The conference, which took place from 22nd – 24th September 2024 at the renowned Obi Wali International Conference Civic Centre centred on the theme “Economic Stability and National Security: The Contending Issues and the Way Forward.”
In attendance were the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu represented by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Representatives of the Governor of Rivers State and Delta State, Representative of the Honourable Speaker House of Representative, top government executives, management experts, members and key stakeholders from various sectors, all of whom convened to deliberate on the crucial intersection of economic growth and national security, and to propose actionable solutions to the challenges confronting the nation. The conference provided an invaluable platform for thought leadership, collaboration, and professional development, attracting seasoned professionals and emerging leaders across Nigeria.
Members of FNPH Benin’s staff who were granted the privilege of attending this year’s event expressed their gratitude to the hospital’s management for prioritizing their professional growth. They lauded the exposure to cutting-edge strategies and ideas on national development, and acknowledged the opportunity to network with leading professionals and policy influencers.
Speaking on behalf of the participants from FNPH Benin, Mrs G.O. Daudu, Chairman of FNPH Benin’s NIM unit highlighted how the conference has broadened their perspectives on critical management issues, equipping them with knowledge and skills that will further enhance their performance in their respective roles in the hospital.
